Last year when i was on tour, i had a show in Munich, which like most of modern Germany - is an incredible place full of lovely people, one one of the best-run countries on the planet.

But it wasn't always that way.

in Munich is an incredible museum called the Documentation Center. Munich was the birthplace of the original Nazi movement, and the Documentation Center outlines particularly the tiny steps that created the darkest chapter in modern human history.

what really stunned me was how many parallels there were between intra-war Bavaria and the modern United States rust belt, and even more chilling was how certain political factions have sought to fan the flames of tribalism and old latent racisms to pave the way authoritarian regimes to fill the void.
