As the new year began, it had become obvious that despite what appeared to be a close brush with the nightmarish concept of another 4 years of backsliding into total authoritarian fascism - something like 30% of the country was willing to burn democracy itself to the ground rather than concede defeat. When I started this project - I had initially thought that would be a document of America awakening from a darkness, and enjoying some shared relief, but unfortunately that 30% of people decided to make it their singular mission to ensure that didn’t happen. Essentially they are as I described them - arsonists content to burn their own house down.

Although I normally like to play music in mixes of 3-5 artists at a time, the "long track" on this album actually works better than all the songs played separately and mixed with other music.
